River ElF in Zandora Legends
Published June 28, 2015
A few weeks ago we announced the Zandora legends Campaign setting as a system-less world. This week we will take a look at the River Elf and see how
system-less works. To start we give the backdrop for the race and the commonalities between renditions of the game. Then we go into excerpts for
the conversion to each rule system and show you how to implement them.
River Elf Flavor Text
Unlike their other elven brethren, river elves tend to live upon secluded bodies of water. Here they build their
cities above and below the water surface. They are the youngest elven race in existence created at the time of humans. Their skin color is a light
to dark blue with majority having blonde hair with red heads being uncommon. Most born with red eyes yet occasional violet or green eyes. River
elves have been in a civil war for centuries that only recently ended leaving their great empire in ruins and more than half slain. After thousands
of years of seclusion they recently tried to open relations with the rest of the proud people and their Elvin kin.
River elves live in large cities upon the islands of Genesis which they call Eldaria. Upon their ancestral land of Eldaria they
live within a matriarchy while those found throughout Doracia in monarchies. They are warlike race aggressively attack evil creatures that enter their lands.
They tend to get along with humans and Halfling, while many elves see them as children and barbaric. Dwarves are hesitant at
first, but in time see them as long living humans. They share the same distaste for orcs and goblins as high and wood elves seeking them out and
Alignment and Religion
Rivers elves are generally good aligned aspiring to the tenants of their goddess, Deidra LeSiay They lean towards
neutrality helping each other the best they can. A few river elves lean towards chaos and feeling that more aggressive actions need take place to
protect their lands. They worship the elven pantheon of the surface elves, but place the highest regard for Deidra LeSiay who created them in her image.
